#BeautySpot: Get Omotola’s Glow-Up!

Award winning Nigerian actress and UN WFP ambassador, Omotola Jalade (aka Omosexy) is always on point her beauty and was spotted proving it this week, while at the Victorious Army Ministries Women Conference in Ikeja, Lagos.

Stepping up as one of the speakers at the event, Omotola was seen wrapped in shiny, floor-length kimono dress from Erica Moore, which she paired with black block heels, but finished her ensemble with a classy beauty look that really stole the show.

We at SPICE love the combination of startling red lips and radiant skin, with Omosexy showing us how it’s done via a luminous complexion and a pillar box red pout.

Get the Look

Want to get glowing like Omotola? Here’s a few steps…

2

1. First, create an illuminating base – not the sparkly kind, but the type that give a ‘lit-from-within’ look. We recommend NYX’s “Born to Glow” primer (£12 here). Apply this to both add a radiance to your skin as well as keep your makeup in place.

2. Next, add a foundation that’s fluid and sheer, like Maybelline’s “Fit Me Matte Poreless” foundation, (N5,500 here). Anything too thick or too high in coverage will reduce the natural feel of the glow; you don’t want to go for a heavy, strobed-effect glow, but a subtle one that looks natural.

3. Groom brows, then add eyeliner and mascara if desired. Next, complete your glowing complexion with a hint of bronzer or blusher, but nothing too heavy. We like Cover Girl’s “Ebony Bronze” (N5,000 here).

4. Moving on to the lips, match Omotola’s hue with Revlon’s Colorburst lipstick in “Cherry Ice” (N3,500.00 here). Be sure to smooth lips first with a balm and add a lip liner in the same shade to prevent the colour from bleeding.

Et voila! You’ve a seductive glow-up that’s as impressive as Omosexy’s! Don’t forget to show us your attempts at Omotola’s glowing skin and red lip combo online, by tagging us in your selfies @SPICETVAFRICA.
