So box braids and jumbo twists are officially a thing right now, and Scream Queens actress Keke Palmer has been spotted making them look fly while at the the Vanity Fair and Fiat ‘Toast to Young Hollywood’ event this week, held at the Chateau Marmot in LA.
The 22-year-old star, who stopped to strike a pose before heading inside, was seen garbed in a Vivienne Westwood “Anglomania” collection ensemble comprised of a red button-up blouse and grey, tie-waist culottes.
But, though the apparel was striking, it was her beautiful jumbo twists that stole the thunder, complemented by a nude lip and minimal makeup.
We at SPICE are totally in love with the look and will be hoping to rock the fresh hairdo like Keke this season, too.
GET THE LOOK
Though it may be as easy as walking to your favourite African salon and asking for the style, you do need decent hair extensions to slay like Keke did.
Wanting to steal the style and do the thing justice? We at SPICE recommend Stephanie Coker’s brand, Krochet Kulture’s “Soft Havana Twists” (₦3,000, girlyessentials.com.ng here).
Compared to the conventional method of braiding, these are unbelievably lightweight and very quick to install, coming with its own hook for DIY installation, meaning you don’t need to sit for hours at the salon and can pull off the look yourself at home.
For a full head of twists, it’s recommended that the 12″ requires a minimum of 3 packs, 24″ requires minimum 4 packs – grab yours then get to creating your own crochet twists like Keke Palmer and tag us in pics of the results online, via @SPICTVAFRICA.
