Parisian fashion label, ElevenParis may well be having a bad end to the year 2015, with top names Rihanna, Beyonce, Jay Z, Kanye West and Pharrell Williams having filed a joint lawsuit against them, and winning with an out of court settlement.
The mega group have united against the sportswear label after alleging that the brand had used their names and likeness without their permission – the offending garments including tshirts and phone cases clad with their image, and slogans like “Kanye is my Homie” and “Pharrell is my Brotha”.
The five super stars had filed around 60 violations against the label, seeking an end of manufacturing of the items, as well as an unspecified amount in damages that covered both legal fees for the suit and any profits made from the items ElevenParis sold.
