Top stars Beyoncé, Joan Smalls and Kelis have raided their wardrobes in aid of charity, donating a swish pair of shoes from their personal collection to non-for-profit organisation, Small Steps Project.
The initiative aims to raise funds to improve the lives of children living on municipal dumps around the globe – creating documentaries and organising celebrity shoe auctions to help provide clothes and education for those living under the poor conditions, with a host of stars enlisted for the 2014 celebrity shoe auction being hosted here on Ebay.
Beyonce, Joan Smalls and Kelis’ contributions are yet to be revealed on the auction site, but a gallery of over 100 pairs of shoes is available to peruse, revealing the many top names that have been enlisted towards the cause, with shoes including De La Soul’s collective of Nike, Adidas and Genovisi trainers, George Clooney’s Africa-clad Timberlands, Vivienne Westwood’s velvet, red platforms and a pair of Kate Moss’ infamous skyscrapers.
The celebs’ shoes have all been signed and separated into three auction categories: Sport, Music and Film, with auctions currently running from now until the end of the month.
We at SPICE have our eyes on the striped pair of Converse from Margherita Missoni and Elizabeth Hurley’s satin pink sling backs, but with footwear from Usain Bolt, Neneh Cherry and the aforementioned Beyoncé, Joan Smalls and Kelis yet to be revealed, we might just wait before declaring our utter favourites…
