Forty-eight-year-old American actress, Halle Berry has revealed the ad campaign to her new fragrance, Wild Essence.
For her sixth fragrance to date, the ad, photographed by Cliff Watts, sees a toned and sexy Halle with sleek, wet hair and rocking a damp black slip dress amid the foliage of a rainforest.
An accompanying TV ad follows along a similar, sultry vein, hinting at the multi-floral notes buyers can expect to detect in the fragrance and, in the official press release, perfumer Claude Dir discloses the inspiration behind for the scent was Ms Berry’s ‘primal beauty,’ which he recreates by fusing linden blossom, freesia and white rose with fresh blackcurrant, bergamot orange and mandarin zest top notes. Heavier notes of sandalwood and white patchouli add balance to the feminine fragrance, which we expect to smell as amazing as Halle looks, since her famed features were the muse.
The former Bond girl also released a statement on the fragrance, saying:
“The essence of a woman is in body and soul and becomes more sensual in nature, so with my newest fragrance I wanted to go deep into the rainforest where I could capture the primal richness of nature in an effortless scent.
I love the idea of creating a fragrance that will allow women to connect with nature, through perfume.”
The new scent will be sold under the house of Givaudan for $28 – a mere price to pay for evena drop of Halle’s gorgeousness. In the meantime though, see the print and TV ads, below.
