Famed Italian shoes designer, Giuseppe Zanotti has been talking to Forbes this week, revealing his beginnings as a radio jazz-funk DJ, his design inspiration from Hip Hop and his soon-to-drop collaboration with mega-singer, Beyonce.
The designer, who talked about finding romance in Hip Hop and his love of Drake, Kanye West and 2Chainz, said of designing with Bey;
“Beyoncé has very clear ideas – she knows exactly what she wants.
I’m working on finalizing the shoe with her stylist right now. And Beyoncé will then say what she likes and what she doesn’t like.”
Adding that “it will be one shoe only,” Mr Zanotti also goes on to gush about the star, saying;
“The thing which [Beyonce] has over other celebrities, is that she has an amazing voice. She’s incredibly talented and she’s an amazing dancer – she’s complete. Few are like Beyoncé.”
Truly few are like the multi Grammy award-winning aritst, whose style is certainly improving alongside her style queen sister, Solange’s (see the pair step out in the same coat last week, here) – but with no sketches to hint at what we can expect from the shoe, we’ve only the Forbes‘ mention that it looks like the singer’s gone for “ultra thick platform stilettos.”
With Beyonce having been spied doing her thing in ankara this week though, posting this pic to her account just a few days ago, we at SPICE can only hope she’s drawn inspiration from her love of Africa and thrown some sort of passionate print into the mix.
