Venus Williams – the tennis star and one of only four women to have won five Wimbledon singles titles – has shocked the sporting world with news of her nude photoshoot for ESPN Magazine‘s July’14 issue.
Posing ‘sans clothes’ for the mag’s sixth annual “Body Issue,” due for publish on July 11th, the nine-time Grand Slam tournament winner, who is currently playing at this year’s Wimbledon games, stuns with her feature, showing off all 6 ft 1inches of her trim physique.
Inside the magazine, Venus explained;
“It didn’t dawn on me until right when I walked on set that I would have to be without clothes. If I would have thought about it before, there may have been a little less of a chance.”
And, in the interview accompanying the shoot, Ms Williams also talks about her battle with Sjögren’s syndrome – an autoimmune disorder she was diagnosed with in 2011 and which put her out of action during that year and the next. The star reveals;
“The whole quality of my life was compromised. You are so tired it hurts. You have to accept that you’re never going to be 100 percent.”
