British-Canadian designer, Jean-Pierre Braganza has just announced a new collection for River Island, joining its Design Forum to re-imagine his signature printed style in a collaborative line for the brand.
The 11-piece range also fuses Braganza’s love of architectural shapes and street attitude to create a capsule edit made up of bomber jackets, jumpsuits, embellished jeans and dresses.
The London-based designer, who joins River Island’s previous Design Forum designers Eudon Choi, Georgia Hardinge and Katie Eary, explained of the collaboration;
“River Island has a distinctively young, cool voice and its girl is confident and a risk taker, as is the Jean-Pierre Braganza woman. Working with the River Island design and buying team has been such a great experience, they rose to every challenge that I presented them with.”
The range is said to be inspired by the kingfisher bird, with prices ranging between £35 and £100.
We at SPICE can’t wait to get a closer look of at the pieces when it drops on February 16th 2015, but in the meantime, here’s a sketch showing what the Jean-Pierre Braganza for River Island collection may look like;
