Inspired by London’s iconic street-wear cool and the style of the 1960s, Britain-based Nigerian designer, Alice Olupitan – founder of new woman swear label GBEMi – has revealed the lookbook to Spring/Summer’15 collection and wow-ed everyone in the process.
With the collection of contemporary luxe-staples, said to be deigned “for the vibrant modern-day woman,” Ms Olipitan turns textured fabrics in pretty pastels into truly wearable staple pieces, like metallic, tee-sleeved dresses and twinsets that’ll do for work or play.
With an emphasis on simplicity and easy-to-wear shapes, the brand – which only recently launched in Summer’14 – brings a uniqueness the fashion via a fresh approach to colour and fabrication.
