Creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing continues to keep us falling for his daring genius, and now it’s manifested in the star posing hue on the front cover of French mag, Tetu.
While eyes have firmly been on the catwalks at New York Fashion Week and the red carpets of the numerous awards that have held this month, Team SPICE‘s are now a-fixed to the designer’s good looks, seen in full in Tetu‘s March’15 issue, which he also guest edited.
Mr Rousteing, who is besties with Kim and Kanye West, who both feature in his Spring’15 menswear ad (see that here), explained to WWD.com that getting naked was;
“…My idea. I wanted to show that being naked is one of the most chic things. It’s an expression of a concept.”
We can’t deny that seeing the designer in such a revealing manner is a concept we quite like, having been long time fans of both his good looks and great looking garments. And this isn’t the first time the talent has been spied in front of the lens, having just last month been revealed in C☆NDY Magazine’s 5th anniversary issue (read about that here), modelling his label’s collections.
This time for Tetu, the chiselled Olivier is seen on the cover with nothing but his friendship bracelets on, posed naked on a stool for photographer André Atangana and François Rousseau. In the accompanying editorial, the designer rocks smart tailoring and a leather and embellished jacket.
Elsewhere in the mag, due out tomorrow, the guest editor features interviews with British racing champ Lewis Hamilton, fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco, DJ Brodinski and rugby player Frédéric Michalak, as well as his friend Kim Kardashian, whom the designer says;
“…shows her point of view as a woman. It was important to show the personality of the people.”
We at SPICE are just thankful for the opportunity to see the full, er, personality of Mr Rousteing, who from our point of view looks great on Tetu Magazine’s March’15 cover. Have a look at it below and tell us what you think in the comments box or on Twitter @SPICETVAFRICA;
