Between Thursday 11th and Sunday 14th September this year, the second ever edition of Africa Utopia will hold at London’s Southbank Centre, following its successful run in 2012.
Curated for a “look at what can be learnt and celebrated from Africa and the African Disapora,” the festival will see four days of events taking place, including fashion shows, spoken word, music, dance and food markets, to provide – according to its organisers – a;
“…Look at how African art and ideas can change the world for the better: how Africa can lead the way in thinking about culture, community, technology, fashion, sustainability and ethical wealth creation.”
Promising some of the continent’s “most iconic musicians and artists” will make an appearance, the festival will also host experts, entrepreneurs and activists taking part in panel debates and workshops that celebrate the arts and culture of Africa and its Diaspora.
Entrance is free and a full list of the events productions can be found, here.
