This week’s Top 5 Friday is all about the most stylish things to do this Easter weekend – that’s things to consider doing once you’ve come out of your chocolate-induced coma, anyway…
1. Have a Hunt
Easter egg hunts are no longer the reserve of small chocolate-thirsty children – at least, not in Christie Brown’s world, anyway.
The Ghana-based designer is calling his fashion fans to action, teasing;
“Come join our Easter Egg Hunt this week. You just might win a treat.”
And if said treats are any of the brand’s brilliant, luxury designs, then you may have to get your game face on, because we’ll be there and out to win.
2. Go for a Six Course Dinner and 18th Century Drama at Harvey Nichols
Over in Knightsbridge, London, department store giant Harvey Nichols is hosting a hunt of sorts, to remember – a luxury adults-only one that will see the store transformed into an 18th century Rococo movement-setting and guests immersed in a spot of theatre.
Bookable via firstname.lastname@example.org for a very well-worth-it £25, customers are invited to join the search for a giant Baileys flavoured Easter Egg, then stay for dinner, where a sumptuous six courses will be served on the fifth floor terrace.
For desert, there’s a side of drama, with nine performances set to take place between 12pm lunchtime and 9pm. Find out a little more, here.
3. Do Your Nails
No stylish lady these days needs an excuse to do her nails, but family dinner on Easter Sunday’s a pretty good one. And, keeping the theme (and the convenience – simply peel, place and go) is Topshop’s super cute nail wraps (£3), which we know will be a hit with whoever you’re seated next to. Find yours for your fingertips, here.
4. Welcome Kenneth Ize
Launching at new Lekki-based menswear boutique, Stranger Lagos, upcoming designer Kenneth Ize is having a settling in soiree, inviting you to his collection launch installation event, happening this Easter Monday. Taking to his Tumblr, Mr Ize wrote:
“You want an easy Easter Monday ? Sure you can!!! Come celebrate with me at the launching of KENNETH IZE @strangerlagos and you’ll get to see some works of our dear #lakinogunbanwo”
Amazing new designs to leaf through and super photography to stare at? Well you can count us in. Get your name on the list too, via email@example.com.
5. Gorge on Something Gorgeous
Obviously there’s going to be chocolate involved, but this Easter, why not make sure what you scoff’s also chic? With designer label Armani offering up sweet treats for the Easter holidays – designing a luxury range of chocolates emblazoned with ‘A’s and the brand’s signature animal print (from 9 Euros) – you’ve no reason to be seen eating a standard egg.
Or why not seek out the Team SPICE favourites: Choco Rico’s chocolate shoes and handbags? Available from £5.50 and in a range of sizes, your Easter treats will never be the same again – because why settle for a humble Snickers or chocolate bunny, when you can be seen shoving a Belgian chocolate bag and matching shoe into your face?
However you spend yours, Happy Easter.
