Trend to Try: Fun, Faux Tattoos

While the idea of getting a tattoo might make some people cringe, we at SPICE are warming up to the idea, with temporary tattoos being the hot new thing to do in beauty.

Seen on Spring/Summer’15 runways in New York, London, Milan and Paris, the trend had Tommy Hilfiger patching them to models’ bodies while Mariana Jungmann put subtle and ornate versions to foreheads;

And though it’s made for some unusual looks, the tattoo trend is not strictly fleeting either, being spied on catwalks for Autumn/Winter’15, too;

While temporary tattoos have become the new way to do ‘edgy’ on the catwalk, some of our favourite celebrities have also took on the commitment-free beauty look;

Get the Look

While makeup artist Val Garland hand drew designs onto models at Giamba’s Autumn/Winter’15 showcase, we suggest the following options;

1. Buy a few small stamps that would usually be used for paper decorating, and coat these in a waterproof eyeliner before pressing onto clean skin.

2. Buy yourself a set of temporary tattoos that are adhered to skin with water, lasting for up to a week. SPICE favourites are Flashtat’s Sheebani collection ($25, here) and Inkwear’s set of metallic tats (£19.99 here).
