Following the highly-anticipated Victoria’s Secret Show, which took place last night in New York, Team SPICE has been left thinking about the bedroom – what with all the underwear on parade at the event.
And, while we are focused on all things ‘Man’ this month, here’s a few things one might take as tips for when it comes to having fun with the special fella (or female, or friends with benefits) in your life.
1. New Is Good
We’ve all heard it before: “try something new.” And that’s what Victoria’s Secret did, though ultimately not in the way we would – by bringing new girls into the mix.
With new Angels including Leomie Anderson, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and more walking alongside VS veterans like Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima and Joan Smalls, we were totally inspired to try something new ourselves… But we’re not necessarily suggesting you bring a new, hot face into your bedroom. Unless of course that’s what you and bae are into 😉
We are suggesting you try out some of the brand’s new season underwear though, because wowzers.

2. More is More
Like, why not work all that glitter and sequins, with the big hair, heels and smoky eyes? When it comes to making an effort in this particular area, sometimes bells, whistles and all the ‘trimmings’ (preparation is key, y’all) is the way forward.
And if your partner is into dress up? Well, those wings may well be the perfect fit. If of course they can actually fit in your bedroom.

3. We All Love a Bit of Fantasy
Turns out, a bra is not just a bra when it costs $2 million. It is the bra that we all wish we could wear – even if it is only destined to be thrown on the floor after 30 seconds of wear.
Take a look at Ms Aldridge who was honoured to wear this year’s Fantasy Bra, and tell us bae wouldn’t like a look at you in it.

4. The Warm Up is Just as Important as the Main Act
Can we get an amen? Warming up pre-adventure is all part of the fun – especially if the results leave you glowing like the model goddesses who walked at last night’s showcase.
And to clarify, we’re talking about the pre-show work outs that many of the models undertook, with Leomie Andersen, Lais Ribeiro and Candice Swanepoel sharing their Victoria’s Secret workouts online ahead of the event.
If it leaves you with abs like theirs, we’ll be trying it before our next big night in…

5. Pre-Event Pictures are a Great Idea
Anyone else catch all those model selfies before the big show?
Proving that taking a few pictures before the big event is a great way to build excitement, we clocked Mariah Borges’ and Gigi Hadid’s many selfies on Instagram and were totally excited to see the full show.
…But while we don’t probably won’t be sending any with makeup artists also in the shot (may hinder the intimate vibes we’re striving for), we may just steal the Angels’ idea and take a few selfies before bae comes over – you know, to show them what they’ve got to look forward to.

6. It’s All About an Entrance
Clearly, the way to cause a stir lies in the way you work that room, and entering it with a power strut is – as evidenced by that of the Angels – a very good idea.
From the moment the likes of Joan Smalls, Adriana Lima and Cindy Bruna stepped onto the ramp, all eyes were on them, which is pretty much the effect you want to have. Because, you know- the allure of browsing on one’s phone is pretty strong, and seeing your partner checking his/hers isn’t the best way to begin any sort of intimate scenario.
Command attention from the get go.

7. Mood Music is Key
And how better to get going than with a little mood music? At Victoria’s Secret’s showcase, models were joined by Elie Goulding, Selena Gomez and The Weekend, who got them and spectators moving.
If you’re looking for similar amounts of fun, select a soundtrack and then get to work on them moves. Amazing results are likely.
But what did tips did you pick up from the showcase? Tell us what you learned from the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Show in the comments box below or online @SPICETVAFRICA.
