Heading to London’s Somerset House, the second edition of 1:54 – a contemporary African art fair – will be held between the 15th and 19th of October 2014, bringing with it a plethora of new and established artists to discover and appreciate.
As a platform for galleries, artists, curators, art centres and museums involved in African and Africa-related projects, 1:54 aims to promote art by established and emerging talents, within an international audience. And, founded by Moroccan-born market developer and daughter of revered artist, Hassan El Glaoui, Touria El Glaoui (together with Art Africa Ltd) brings 1:54’s second run to Somerset House, accompanied by an educational and artistic programme curated by Koyo Kouoh.
The programme will include lectures, film screenings and panel debates with leading international curators, artists and art experts, and showcasing 25-30 specially selected galleria, the event is something simply not to be missed.
