Gird your lions people, fashion season is finally here, Lagos fashion Week was a blast and we are gearing up for Arise Fashion week. Eleven years ago, Arise fashion week contributed to Africa’s fashion recognition globally, in time past AFW runway hosted global fashion icons and leading models such as Naomi Campbell, Alek Wek, Oluchi Orlandi and others.
This years line up is set to be the best of its kind, with designers from all parts of the world showcasing at the four day event, Arise has handpicked the best of the best to show Africa to the world.
The runway event is set to start on March 30 to April 2 at the Lagos Continental Hotel(formerly Intercontinental Hotel), featuring 50 designers from 15 countries including Canada, United Kingdom, Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa and lots more.
Fashion week is the beginning of new trends, new silhouettes and a phase for various designers who are just making an entry into the industry. In a press release by the Co producer Ruth Osime, she gives an insight on the designers set to showcase at the event “We are excited to bring world-class fashion back to Lagos in the real sense of it. The bar will definitely be raised once more with strong collaborations, innovation, and creativity,”
