Beauty Trend to Try: Cool Cornrows

Just in time for the World Cup, the versatile, sports-safe hairstyle, cornrows are back – returning for Spring/Summer’14 as a trend we’ve spied everywhere from the runways to the red carpet.

Jordin Sparks wore hers to the 2014 Billboard Awards and singer Ciara was spied looking fresh in braids, in a pic she posted to her Instagram;

Also posted to Instagram earlier last month was this shot of top models Chanel Iman and Cara Delevigne, who both sported side-swept braids on a night out, proving cornrows’ return to the stylesphere…

But even guys are onboard with the trend, too, like rapper Bow Wow who bore his with a suit to look smart and stylish…

Plus, on the runway, Mark of Toni & Guy rocked Fashion Week by creating messy cornrow looks for Marchesa’s models, which were the talk of the show alongside the fabulous garments they wore;

Looking to rock cornrows too? Well, first of all, hair needs to be well conditioned and detangled, or else the plaits will look rough and have loads of sticky edges.
