Bold lips usually rule for Autumn/Winter but not this season – with opinions and looks split between bright pouts and the ‘new’ nude.
The way to do the neutral lip this time, is to focus on a plumped up look, with a ballet pump-hued pouts appearing voluminously and in their volumes on some of the best runways, being showcased at DKNY, Fendi and Diane Von Furstenberg’s Autumn/Winter’14 shows;
And it’s not just models showcasing the trend, with some of our favourite celebrities having also been spotted rocking plump, muted pouts, too;
Want to achieve the look for yourself? Well, see below our top 3 nude lipsticks then our step-by-step, below;
Get the Look
1. First, exfoliate lips and apply a lip balm. This will ensure a smoother application of your lipstick and a supple finish.
2. Use a nude lip pencil to outline your lips and create definition. “Chestnut” or “Whirl” by MAC is a great option, but any other lip pencil of your choice will do the trick.
3. Lastly, apply your choice of nude lipstick. You can top it up with a lip gloss if you want, but leaving it matte will create the look of the trend.
