Year after year we are left with mad anticipation and excitement for what the years New York Fashion Week has install for us. The luxury, the creativity, the star studded front row seats, the amazingly beautiful streets of New York filled with fashion enthusiasts and hopefuls from all around the world.
From events like this we can tell what the latest trends are and we begin to ready our pockets and eyes for what we will be shopping for during the season. But we all know that NYFW isn’t just about the clothes, it is also about hair and beauty trends that debut during Fashion week. Different designers translate their designs through the eyes of these two critical elements and we are always more than gassed about it.
We give you some of the beauty trends from this year’s NYFW that caught our eyes.
- Smokey eye and black stretchy headbands.
Yes darlings, we know Smokey eyes never really left but Stretchy headbands did, and Tom Ford Just brought them back. Jill Stuart and Carolina Herrara models also rocked subtle Smokey eyes on the runway.
- Claw clips/ Banana Clips
Who else could have brought back the hair claw trend but Alexander Wang guyz. The models owned the runway in the designers 2018 Fall collection, with their hair worn in a sleek wrap up held with a huge Banana Clip aka Claw clip.
- Colored Eyeliners
This trend appeared more than once during the NYFW and we already know it will become a thing this year. Designer fav Jeremy Scott featured this look on his models who appeared on the runway in colored negative space cat eyes. TIBI models also featured crayola colored winged eyeliner look on the runway. Veronica Beard models were also spotted rocking this look.
- Plastic Hair Comb Headbands.
Prabal Gurung models were also spotted wearing stretchy plastic hair comb headbands. The models hair was worn in a sleek messy bun and accessorized with the plastic comb headband.
- Bold eye-shadow.
This look was featured heavily this year by designers like A Detacher, Adam Selman, Christian Siriano and Sies Marjan.
6. Bobby Pins
Get your bobby pins out guys it is time to wear them out visibly. Designers like Zadig Voltair, Veronica Beard, Libertine, and Noon by Noor dubbed this look. From rhinestone Bobby pins, to the regular black ones, Bobby pins owned some of the best looks from the NYFW
