Rising Ivorian model, Aya Jones has been spied fronting Prada’s new campaign, starring as one of the faces of its Pre-Fall’15 collection, alongside numerous model couples clad in checks.
The beauty, who walked the runway for the fashion house in February, is pictured by top photographer Steven Meisel and is seen pulling on her model colleague Artur Chruszcz’s collar, and looking pretty with a dishevelled up ‘do.
With the rest of the ads pairing other perfect faces together, Prada explained the inspiration behind the campaign’s coupling off, via a statement that read;
“Gender’s complexities and contradictions have always been an essential, evolving question for Prada. What do men take from women? What do women keep for themselves?
The most profound influences from one to the other are often the least apparent, the least visible. These exchanges still charge the cultural sphere.”
The thinking might be deep but our love for the shots is shallow – we at SPICE especially loving Ms Jones’ innocent look and the way her beauty champions Spring/Summer’s love of the minimal makeup trend (get it, here) for next season, too.
