Cool, South African style collective, BoysOfSoweto have been seen starring in a short Autumn/Winter’15 fashion film for British brand, Ben Sherman.
In the campaign video, the Boys (who approach fashion “from an urban, vintage and futuristic perspective”) are spied staring out other well-dressed men on road, as well as hitting the fields for a game of bowls – all the while flaunting a range of classic button-ups that are so good, two of the Boys turn up rocking the same one and having a bit of faux pas moment.
Caught on film by Johannesburg-to-LA-based director, Meja Shoba, the BoysofSoweto – who include Bob Ndima, Bonisiswe Nhleko, Mbali Bangwayo, and Morgan Kgobane – look fly throughout the 2 minute film, Ms Shoba commenting;
“The film highlights the preparation involved when a gentleman dresses with consideration, completing his look with extreme attention to detail.
The inspiration behind the British brand’s Button Up concept is blended with BoysOfSoweto’s African flair.”
