R’nB babe Ciara has just been announced as the new face of Roberto Cavalli, and can be seen not just in a series of cool stills for the brand’s Autumn/Winter’15 collection, but in a brilliant and artistic video ad too.
Shot by Francesco Carrozzini and styled by Robert Rabensteiner, Ciara works her signature long tresses and lean body in Cavalli’s forthcoming range of womenswear, inspired by oriental traditions, telling Style.com of the collaboration;
“I had a marvellous night dancing with Mr. Cavalli last fall in Dubai, and now my dream of being in one of their campaigns has come true. I am so honored to be the face of the current campaign for Roberto Cavalli.
I grew up truly admiring the beautiful collections and dreaming of wearing them.”
In the campaign’s accompanying filmed ad, Ciara is seen looking gorgeous against a set that looks to be inspired by the abandoned houses of Kolmanskop – an old, abandoned diamond mining town in Namibia – recreated for the ad by Andy Henbest.
