Jumping head first into the new year, controversial actor and rapper Jaden Smith – son of Will and Jada Pinkett – has been revealed as one of the stars of Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer’16 womenswear campaign, including a fresh new fashion film. And once again, he’s wearing a skirt.
Making it officially cool for guys to rock the womenswear staple – Jaden having received flack last year for wearing a white skirt to accompany Amandla Steinberg to prom – the high end label puts the young Smith into the limelight as the only non-model in its new ads, which also feature beauties Sarah Donnealia, Rianne van Rompaey and Jean Campbell.

In the fashion film, entitled “The Heroine”, Jaden and his girl gang of models sport the latest from the label, with whispers of “beautiful” and a dream-like mood peacefully persuading us we want to be that girl (or boy) rocking the collection.
Though totally unpredictable, Mr Smith’s walk into the fashion industry isn’t so much of a shock when you consider his sister Willow Smith was a welcomed surprise in the lineup of Marc Jacobs’ Autumn/Winter’15 campaign, and various editorials last year.
Team SPICE are looking forward to seeing what other jaw-dropping features spring up now that campaign season has started, but for now see Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer’16 campaign video here below and do share your thoughts with us online @SPICETVAFRICA.
