Sunglass designer Karen Walker launches her new range, “Visible” this month, unveiling her Spring/Summer’14 ad campaign, which includes captivatingly cool shots of Kenyan locals.
The artisans also worked on the collection, creating printed cloth pouches to accompany Karen’s designs, which she commissioned through the United Nations ITC Ethical Fashion Initiative.
Casting the locals in the campaign ad, the designer selected a pair of sunnies to specifically match the individual style of each person, which has made for some pretty eclectic results, saying:
“The images help to bring visibility to how fashion can be a vital vehicle out of poverty.”
