Beautiful Ethiopian model, Liya Kebede – alongside her top model colleagues, Freja Beha Erichsen and Jean Campbell, and singer/actress Charlotte Gainsbourg – looks phenomenal in the latest ad campaign from Louis Vuitton; the first of its kind under the direction of the brand’s new creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière.
Titled “Series 1” and shot by the illustrious Bruce Weber (with upcoming ads shot by Annie Leibovitz and Juergen Teller), the imagery for the campaign follows four ‘contemporary heroines,’ with pieces from Ghesquière’s acclaimed fall’14 ready-to-wear collection.
With an accompanying fashion film, “Beautiful Strangers” (also by Bruce Weber), the campaign is captured in black and white – the film set in a desert and including a haunting musical accompaniment courtesy of French-Cuban twins, Ibeyi.
Famed for his experimentation and unique eye since his days at Balenciaga (1997-2012), Nicolas Ghesquière gives each of the photographer the creative freedom to interpret each series as they saw fit, and our girl Liya looks absolutely stunning in both the film and the ad shots, below;
