Back in April, we at SPICE made it known that actress Lupita Nyong’o will be the new face of Lancome (read all about it, here) and just couldn’t contain our excitement for the upcoming campaign ads, due to be released in September 14’. So you can forgive us for feeling a little like Christmas has come early this year, after Lupita’s unveiled a shot of her first campaign for the prestigious cosmetics brand, via Instagram.
The Oscar-winning actress looks just flawless and radiant as ever, showing off her chocolate-hued skin in the ad for Lancome’s “Teint Idole 24h” Foundation. And, with the picture currently baring over 68k likes, it’s safe to say we’re not the only ones loving the ad.
We at SPICE especially like how Ms Nyong’o – who was named the World’s Most Beautiful Woman 2014 by People Magazine – is showing the world a new definition of black beauty, and, with this being the first time Lancome has used a black star to be the ambassador of its products, we can’t wait for the rest of the campaign shots to be released.
