Like most brides, Charlotte Casiraghi—Princess Grace’s granddaughter, daughter of Caroline, Princess of Hanover, and 11th in line to the Monegasque throne—changed into a second look over the course of her wedding festivities yesterday. After marrying film producer Dimitri Rassam at Monaco’s Prince’s Palace in a brocade dress by Saint Laurent, likely drawing inspiration from the suit her grandmother wore to her own civil ceremony to Prince Rainier in 1956, Casiraghi switched into a strapless satin Chanel dress with a V cutout in the center, a cinched waist, and a slit up the middle. Her hair was slicked back and rolled into bob with an Old Hollywood feel. A three-strand Cartier diamond necklace from Princess Grace’s collection adorned her neck.
Earlier in the day, the couple exchanged vows in front of their 6-month-old son Balthazar, the bride’s 5-year-old son, Raphael, from a previous relationship, and Dimitri’s 7-year-old daughter, Darya, from his first marriage. A traditional picnic followed in the terraced gardens of the palace before Casiraghi debuted her second dress at the luxury hotel Villa la Vigie.
