Innovation, need and creativity are the bedrock of every invention, and thankfully, chemical engineer Jenny Frankel – who has previously created products for makeup giants MAC and Cover FX – has put all three facets into thinking up her new line of makeup sticks, targeted at busy women who want their beauty natural, but also while on the go.
Co-designed by her model daughters Ally and Taylor, the Frankels’ new makeup line features sticks for eyes, lips and cheeks, as well as concealer sticks and a mascara, targeted at Generation Y – a class of people to love natural makeup looks, but who also live fast-paced lifestyles with no time to spare for applying makeup before leaving the house, and who don’t want to give up bag space to carry makeup when they’ve a laptop, tablet or mobile phone to commute with.
With convenience at their root and described by Jenny as “a streamlined makeup collection designed to provide a quick and easy, nude look that works for all faces,” the innovative products do everything from concealing and highlighting to adding colour, and come with a smudging tip to achieve that oh-so-cool, on-trend “I woke up like this” look.
The concealers are a cream, matte formula which makes them easy to blend and great for oily skin; the eye pencils are one of a kind products, being eyeshadows, eyeliners and highlighters all in one; and the mascaras – intensely coloured and long-wearing – contain a lash treatment formula that strengthens lashes while also creating volume.
