In 2007, a young designer named Christian Siriano made his debut as a contestant on Bravo’s Project Runway. Christian Siriano eventually won the contest and since then he has consistently built a successful fashion brand.
To celebrate the brands 10th year anniversary, the designer put up quite a show, I mean, this would not be the first time Siriano has shown diversity on his runway, but this is by far the most diversity seen on any runway in recent times. Siriano showed that he is up to the task of dressing anyone irrespective of their size, shape, color or gender.
Siriano featured a whopping 72 looks for his fall 2018 collection at New York fashion Week which was more than a great ode to diversity in fashion. Ashely Graham walked in with so much poise as she opened the show in a red mono chromatic coat and red over the knee killer boots, this entire look made us dream about valentine all over again.
Brooks on the other hand had our hearths melting like a candy in a kids mouth, she made a runway debut in a blue tulle floor length A line dress with a front slit high up to her thighs, she looked like a melanin goddess. All the dresses featured in this collection left us speechless, the black crystal ball gown was everything and more, it looks like brides would jump on this trend of black wedding dresses soon.
One of the highlights of the show was having his sister walk the runway, so emotional and beautiful, if you were his sister we are certain you would be ecstatic to walk the runway for your famous brother. We can totally see metallic as a trend for this season, models of all gender walked the run way with metallic blazers and midi shorts.
Christian Siriano put up quite a show and we look forward to 10 more years of greatness.
