Following the UK launch of the Cointreau Creative Crew campaign, La Maison Cointreau has selected Nigeria as the next country to launch the global creative entrepreneurship initiative #DreamDareCreate and gosh are we excited about that!
La Maison Cointreau has partnered with the Founder and Publisher of Genevieve Magazine, Betty Irabor to launch the Cointreau Creative Crew (Nigeria), a “worldwide philanthropic programme” created to “develop women’s freedom and creativity around the world”.
The press conference took place yesterday to announce the launch of the CCC Nigeria at the Wheatbaker hotel in Lagos. Betty Irabor expressed that one of her lifelong missions is to “empower and uplift women” and as a publisher for the women’s lifestyle monthly for the last 13 years she explained this was a “perfect project” to partner with. The conference hosted members of the press and Cointreau-Fizz partners to a fun Cointreau-fizz cocktail class led by Alfred Cointreau the Heritage Manager and great grand son [the sixth generation of the family] to founder Edouard Cointreau, who also gave a sharp and fascinating history and DNA lesson of the iconic liquor brand.
The Cointreau Creative crew curated by French Actress Laelita Casta was inspired by the work of Louisa Cointreau, a women’s rights pioneer and wife of the brand’s founder, Edouard Cointreau. Casta has enlisted the support of celebrity friends Eva Longoria, entrepreneur Kelly Hoppen and Glamour UK editor Jo Elvin who will also form the judging panel in the UK. The global programme gets under way in the UK, with one entrepreneur set to be awarded a £20,000 bursary and €20,000 for the winner in Nigeria respectively to support their creative project. Creatives from a range of fields within art, music, design, film, food and cocktails – are encouraged to apply for the grant at cointreaucreativecrew.com so here is an opportunity to be bold and live your dream!
On Sunday Betty Irabor will unveil the full line up of the Creative Crew judges at the official launch of the CCC Nigeria campaign so be sure to visit again for more details on the competition entry and the unveiling.
