At the close of Summer and our month celebrating all things travel, we’re stealing beautiful model, Philomena Kwao’s style, spying a sultry Marquita Pring in Lane Bryant’s new lookbook, plus showing you how to jet from Spring/Summer to Autumn/Winter in one piece…
Curvy Style Steal: Philomena Kwao
This week, our curvaceous style icon comes in the gorgeous shape of Ghanaian-British model, Philomena Kwao. We’ve featured this pretty before, and needless to say we admire all of her wardrobe choices, from working it out in front of the camera to showing us her downtime style whilst flying between London and New York.
A holder of a first class degree in Economics from Bristol University, Philomena is both beauty and brains and we have loved watching her style evolution unfold, from winning the Evans High Street Fashion Model competition to working with leading brands like Debenhams, MonifC and Lane Bryant.
See below how you can recreate some of this jet-setting model’s most striking looks, including the actual suit she wore for the Eloquii lookbook!
Sophie Theallet for Lane Bryant’s Autumn/Winter’14 Lookbook
One of the more important rules in fashion is looking good from the inside, out – and with the release of this new lookbook from Lane Bryant, you’d definitely be on the right track, what with its sultry range of underwear set to have you feeling at your best…
Announced earlier this year, the popular American retailer paired with French designer, Sophie Theallet to create an elegant and glamorous new collection. Modelled by super gorgeous plus size model, Ms Marquita Pring – another Curvesday favourite here at SPICE – the collection’s use of darkly-hued floral print against a pot black lace leaves a real ‘Parisian romantic’ theme – definitely putting the right spin on having a night in!
The collection will be available to buy online this September (we already have eyes on the teddy), but in the meantime, browse it via the shots, below;
Curvy Pick of the Week: Warehouse’s Croc Effect Jacket
As we round up the last of our month celebrating all things travel, it’s time to admit that Summer is nearly over – boo! However, Warehouse have made us feel a little better with this great transitional croc effect jacket – just right for shuffling between Spring/Summer to Autumn/Winter.
With its lightweight feel, this woven blazer’s embossed finish would look fantastic over a light camisole and pop-coloured pair of skinny jeans, although you can instantly lift dresses or shorts with this piece too. Simply add some stillettos and you’ll be ready to head out to just about anywhere, in style.
Grab yours here, for £48.
