#CurvesdayThursday: Stealing Style from Menswear Collections in London & Lagos’ Fashpa, too!

This week, we’re inspired by Mens Fashion Week to steal a piece from Agi & Sam’s collection for our curvy wardrobe, and while the world is busy following the menswear catwalks in London, Paris and Milan, we’re looking to Nigeria’s online e-tailer Fashpa to get our African fashion fix…

Best Big Brand: Fashpa

Has news of Fashion Week kicking off for men in London had you busy lusting after African designs? Well, this week’s Best Big Brand is Fashpa, Nigeria’s leading online fashion destination, which just so happens to have announced a new collection – and, with overseas delivery, you can now get your African fashion fix delivered to wherever you are craving it from, too.

The virtual store, who have been known to collaborate with great brands and designers, has just hit us with their new range, making sure to note they’ve also got plenty of plus sizes available too; happiness squared!

We are in absolute love with Fashpa’s red, asymmetrical tent dress – a steal at just £24 – and paired with a statement necklace and stilettos, we think it would make the perfect date night dress, what with Valentine’s Day just around the corner…

Prices for Fashpa’s new range start at just £10 – visit the site and find your favourite pieces, here.

Curvy News: Top Blogger GabiFresh Launches a Spring/Summer’15 Collection for Swimsuits For All

Now, if we had our way, everyday would be  a ‘sunbathing by the beach day.’ Temptingly, fashion and style blogger GabiFresh has brought our beach dream one step closer with her new range in collaboration with Swimsuits For All.

With this being her third range with the brand, Ms Fresh has built on her understanding of the plus size market to create colourful, fun swimsuits and bikinis, which include bigger cup sizes and cuts to flatter all types of curves.

Talking about the new eight-piece capsule collection, Gabi said;

“True to my style, I went for bold colours, fun designs and cool details.  There was no watering down or holding back (this happens often when brands make things for our size demo); I simply designed beautiful statement pieces that I knew stylish girls would love…

The key is to feel comfortable because when you feel good, you look good.”

From retro to tropical, the range ticks all the boxes when it comes to doing swimwear for the chic and sexy. A limited amount of range is available now for pre-order, though if you can wait for the full range to drop, you can see the entire collection from the 19th of January here.

Curvy Pick of the Week: Agi & Sam’s Watu Nguvu Printed Sweatshirt

While everyone’s eyes on keenly on Men’s Fashion Week, which kicked off last Friday with the Autumn/Winter’15 menswear collections in London, we at SPICE aren’t too hasty to forget we’re still in Autumn/Winter’14 right now, where some fabulous things await to be worn.

And, since we’re a week into the menswear schedule right now (see our edit of the London Collections, here), we’re looking at stealing some of our favourite men’s pieces for our own wardrobe, to add a touch of masculine chic.

Thus, our Curvy Pick of the Week comes from Agi & Sam, whose Autumn/Winter’14 range, the “Watu Nguvu” collection (meaning “people power” in Swahili), includes this eclectic, bold sweatshirt.

SImply layer it over a crisp white shirt, black skinny jeans or a leather skirt and heels, and your good to go on the Frow with your male fashion bestie.

You can purchase yours here on sale for just £60.
