#CurvesdayThursday: This Week’s Fashion Roundup from the World of Curves

With our new weekly column #CurvesdayThursday you can expect to find our favourite brands, new curve-dressing must-haves, plus exciting news from the world of voluptuousness – the latest fashionable goings-on for curvaceous and plus sized women.

Enjoy our first edition, below;

The Best Big Brand: OneOne3

Our chosen brand for the inaugural curve-tastic column has to be London-based label, OneOne3, who first launched with pieces that struck a healthy balance between edgy and on-trend, and who have certainly continued as they started!

Key to its cool is the fact that OneOne3 is dedicated to curvy women and designed by curvy women, being launched by London natives Naima Ali and Keenan Goldstone, to boast clothes that are both wearable and affordable.

With prices in the region of £20 to £80, all stocked in UK sizes 14 to 26, what we particularly love about this brand is that every collection takes the latest trends head on (just see their fabulous new range of spring/summer sheers, for example) and that it does what we’d encourage all curvaceous women to do; take a trend make it your own.

See below some of our picks from OneOne3’s latest 90s grunge-fused collection and take a look at the site here for yourself; if you’re quick, you might even catch the sale!

Curvy News: Evans Launch New Online Forum for Plus Size Stylish Women

Last week, British highstreet store Evans launched Style For Your Shape Studio – an online forum created to show those blessed with more hip and bosom how to rock the season’s latest trends. And, with fashion experts on hand, such as Brix Smith-Start (co-host of fashion show Gok’s Fashion Fix) and Whitney Thompson (the first plus size winner of America’s Next Top Model), we think it’s safe to say that ‘dressing for your figure’ is about to be taken to a whole new fashionable level…

The fact that an initiative like this has been launched on such a platform is amazing as well as useful  especially since trying out new season looks can be a bit daunting, without worrying about whether you’re fuller hips or bust can carry it off.

Below are bitesize videos from Whitney Thompson on styling your shape with spring trends and how to pose for the camera. They aren’t long in length but definitely give some handy tips for ladies looking to look good this season.

Curvy Pick of the Week: Asos’s Floral Jumpsuit

And lastly, our first ever Curvy Pick of the Week comes in the curvaceous form of this floral jumpsuit from ASOS Curve – a bargain at a mere £45.

Whether it’s your waist, bust, legs or back you want to show off, this piece highlights it all. Simply pair yours with strappy sandals and an array of bangles, and you’re definitely good to go!
