Nigeria’s Port Harcourt has announced that it will be hosting the second installement of its Native & Vogue International Fashion Week, promising a showcase that’ll see fashion designers from far and wide hitting the capital city of Rivers State next week for the three day event.
Promoting culture and couture, the Native & Vogue International Fashion Week is a highly anticipated event, to be held at the Hotel Presidential in Rumuola from September 19th to Septermber 21st, with shows starting at 6pm each day. Last year’s showcasing designers included Mai, Agbani & Uti and Adebayo Jones, with this year’s roster including collections from Amos Ejiro Tafiri, Kosibah (see our interview with the designer, here) and AD By Agbani Darego.
The platform explains its mission is to;
“…Foster emerging designers and equally showcase established designers, to position the local fashion industry on the international fashion map while driving local brands into sustainable globally competitive brands that can impact on the National GDP.”
