Nigerian-British actor David Oyelowo keeps giving us a reason to love him more. This has nothing to do with Valentine, but his latest selfless act of love is something we are most excited and proud of.
In 2016 the Award winning actor partnered with LA based NGO GEANCO to create a scholarship programme for female victims of gender inequality and terrorist attacks. The foundation was created in order to give disadvantaged young girls the opportunity to be educated and reach their full potential.

In his Instagram post, David mentioned that;
“We cannot stand idly by while thousands of innocent girls remain under serious threat. With our help, these bright and resilient girls can blossom into Nigeria’s most inspiring leaders in government, education, business, entertainment, and so much more.
Proud to present the glorious recipients of the David Oyelowo Leadership Scholarship. They survived terror at the hands of Boko Haram, now the journey toward their true destiny has begun.”
Since the launched of the D.O.L.S in 2016, the foundation has continued to raise money for schools in Nigeria and also assist in sending necessary supplies.
