Packed full of Ouagadougou-sourced motifs and plenty of print, the amazing Autumn/Winter’14 collection from Duro Olowu was presented at the Savoy this week during London Fashion Week, including a few vintage touches and inspiration by Elizabeth de Lanux – an Afro-surrealist art deco designer from 1920s Paris.
Speaking on his collection at the London event, Nigerian-born Duro said:
“Fabric is the one thing that we all have in common, it’s a universal language. You will find denim in Lagos and Tennessee.”
