Reunited following their work on the set of new movie, Dope, model-turned-actress Chanel Iman is photographed alongside actresses Zoe Kravitz and Kiersey Clemons for InStyle Magazine‘s July’15 issue.
Lensed by Chad Pitman on some sandy terrain, the threesome are seen lounging in cool, laid back ensembles of monochrome and beige, telling InStyle of their work on the movie, which was written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa, produced and narrated by Forest Whitaker, and executive-produced by CFDA’s ‘Fashion Icon of the Year,’ Pharrell Williams.
Ms Kravitz, who plays Nakia in the film, revealed;
“I’ve stayed away from doing ‘urban film’ because I just don’t relate to the characters.
I’m not going to take a role because I happen to have the same skin colour.”
Meanwhile, Ms Iman, who makes her acting debut in Dope, explained;
“This was the chance to show people my acting ability, because Lily is the total opposite of who I am.
Most people wouldn’t have taken this role because of the nudity, but I’ve done so many shoots topless … I look at it as art.”
