As we continue December, thinking about ‘Unity’, digital personality and editor of popular site Fashion Bomb Daily, Claire Sulmers is heading to Lagos and hosting a “Cocktails with Claire” event, with aims to bring Nigerian fashion to the radar of all her followers.
As part of Ms Sulmers’ ‘Fashion Bomb Tour of Lagos 2015’, the cocktail event – previously held in major US cities like New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Washington DC – is set for December 21st, and will be hosted by Claire herself.
The editor shared on her site;
“I haven’t been to the motherland since a trip to South Africa when I was 16; and this will be my first time in West Africa. I am SO EXCITED!!!!”
With her work having appeared in Vogue and Essence Magazine, the digital personality has been in the industry for 9 years, after founding her blogsite in 2006.
Claire will be visiting Lagos’ luxury stores, boutiques, markets and meeting with local designers during her tour, with aims to bring awareness of the African/Nigerian fashion industry to her followers – her influence said to have been ‘instrumental’ in getting high profile personalities like Michelle Obama, Alicia Keys, Ciara and Angela Simmons to wear Nigerian labels.
