For this week’s Fashion Q&A, we caught up with the beautiful Zainab Imichi Alhassan (fashion PR consultant at Grace and Garbo Dubai, journalist, stylist, brand manager and blogger at Style Cravings), who is taking over the fashion scene in Dubai while gracefully representing her home country, Nigeria. Here’s how it went;
SPICE: Hi Zainab, please tell us – what decade best describes your style?
Imichi: My style isn’t defined by a particular decade; I like to take a little bit from each era. I will say a mixture of the 60s, 70s, and mid 2000s.
SPICE: If you were a shoe, which would you would be?
Imichi: If I were a shoe, I’ll probably be a pair of Roger Vivier flats.
SPICE: What can’t leave home without?
Imichi: Lipstick, eyeliner and perfume.
SPICE: Do you have a go-to travel outfit?
Imichi: Loose pants and flats (always).
SPICE: What’s currently on your reading list?
Imichi: I am currently reading the Face Of Fashion by Jennifer Craik and after that, I plan on reading The Eyes Of The Skin by Juhani Pallasma.
SPICE: What’s on your playlist?
Imichi: James Arthur’s “You Are Nobody Till Somebody Loves You”, Olamide’s “Duro Soke” and every Rihanna , Kanye, Beyonce and Whitney Houston song. “Some Nights” by Fun, “You’ve Got The Love” by Florence and The Machine and “The Wild One” by Suzi Quatro.
SPICE: If you could raid anyone’s closet, whose it would be?
Imichi: Ulyana Sergeenko and Nkiru Anumudu.
SPICE: Lastly, tell us one thing on your fashion wish list this Christmas?
Imichi: A versatile midi ball skirt I can wear grocery shopping or to work.
