Still on ‘Flower Power’ vibes here on Team SPICE, this week’s Friday Find is a duo that you’ll be sort of familiar with: the new additions to Marc Jacobs’ Daisy fragrance range.
Sheer, sparkling and luminous, the New York fashion designer’s latest perfumes are pretty sublime and top our list of must-wears for Summer – the original Daisy fragrance having been re-imagined by perfumer, Richard Herpin at Firmenich, to become two new limited edition scents.
Titled Daisy Marc Jacobs “Sorbet” and Daisy Marc Jacobs “Eau So Fresh Sorbet,” the perfumes are fresh twists from the Daisy family, released in Spring 2015 with highly floral notes. “Sorbet” opens with refreshing pink grapefruit, smooth pear and exotic passion fruit notes; a heart of wisteria, jasmine petals and lily-of-the-valley; and a base of violet wood, cedar wood and sheer musks. For the “Eau So Fresh Sorbet” there’s uplifting notes of mandarin, apple blossom and lotus flower; a heart that includes magnolia, jasmine and wet violet; and a base made of creamy woods and musk.
Inspired by the seasonal delight of actual sorbet, the “Sorbet” bottle design is a playful mix of vibrant jewel tones in vivid translucent hues. Sheer daisies bloom on the cap in luminous shades of pink and purple. Daisy “Eau So Fresh Sorbet” features a pale lilac palette though, making it difficult to choose between both bottles’ good looks.
Find your favourite online – “Sorbet” is available for $76.00 here and the “Eau So Fresh Sorbet” for $89.00 here – and let us know if you agree these are brilliant new additions to the Marc Jacobs Daisy range of Fragrances, by tagging us in your comments @SPICETVAFRICA.
