As we at SPICE indulge in our ‘love of fashion’ this month, what with Fashion Week’s launch fast approaching, our Friday Find is one for true beauty trend devotee: Dior’s “Mirror Eyes” set of reusable eyeliner adhesives.
Following an impressive Autumn/Winter’14 couture showcase, where models were seen rocking vinyl-like liner on the runway, the brand’s backstage makeup artist, Peter Philip has created an innovative set of laser-cut, satin patches for perfect beauty looks that you can recycle.
Mr Philips explained to Style.com;
“I thought it would be interesting to take a classic fabric like satin and subvert it to obtain a really modern makeup finish, which in fact looks very similar to a ‘neoprene’ effect.”
With our schedules for Fashion Week set to have Team SPICE operating like a hive of many busy bees, this new product, which launched on February 1st, couldn’t have come at a better time, being super quick to apply and promising never smear or fade. In fact, once on, the metallic stripe you’ll be rocking will likely outshine the rest of the fash pack’s beauty looks, and leave you the talk of whatever front row or after party you’re attending.
The liner applies via a small amount of cosmetic glue that comes with the patches, and when you’re home, tired and recovering from your vast inhale of the next season shows, your makeup remover need only be a pair of tweezers; you’re beauty therefore becoming as fast as your fashion.
Find your new favourite liner, Dior’s “Mirror Eyes” here – a mere $61 for a set of four aka a never-ending, reusable beauty look.
