Gear Up for Africa’s Fashion Weeks With Brand New Runway Fiesta

Are you ready for Ghana Fashion and Design Week, Lagos Fashion and Design Week, and Kampala Fashion Week? So are we – especially following this month’s new episodes of Runway Fiesta, which saw cool catwalk collaborations between T.I Nathan, Youngsix, Sisiano, Reminisce and more.

With Season 3’s theme of ‘Utilitarian Chic,’ brilliant designers were tasked with creating unique pieces to send down the ramp, and with top makeup labels like MAC on beauty duty, beating faces to perfection, backstage was where the fun started.

For participating fashion label Marvee, models were prepped with the brightest of pouts in primary colours of red, blue and yellow. For their spin round the runway, models walked to the music of Miz Kiss and were clad in sleek dresses in navy and flirty dresses in beige, with ruffled hems, mandarin collars and gold button0up details.

For Sisiano, models walked barefoot and rocking designs fit for a stylish warrior, with the items being made up of loose-fit drapings in neutral tones plus pieces in royal blue.

Lola Buttons created chic pieces that combined khaki with lace – complete with gold military-style buttons – and accompanied by a soundtrack from Reminisce.

T.I Nathan meanwhile was paired with Youngsix and sent models down the catwalk wearing war stripes painted to their cheeks.

The collection also included khaki green and black, with utility-style pockets and sheer details as key features.
