The moment women across Africa has been waiting for is finally on its way, with Genevieve Magazine‘s third “Pink Ball” taking place this weekend in Lagos, on October 18th, with stars set to hit the catwalk for charity.
Designed to make a difference to the lives of women suffering from breast cancer, the initiative will host a spectacular evening event – tagged “The Ball with a Cause” – at the prestigious, beach-front Dorchester on Ligali Ayorinde Street in VI, which will include a fashion showcase, live performances, dinner and drinks, as well as the new 100 Patient Challenge, aimed to raise funds to sponsor cancer patients.
Funds will be raised through ticket sales to the event, with the money intended to sponsor breast cancer sufferers and support them throughout their treatment. On the night, which kicks of at 6.30pm this Saturday, collections from Nigeria’s top designers, Lanre Da Silva and Mai Atafo will be showcased, with special appearances from male and female celebrity models also set to grace the runway, including Seyi Shay, Jocelyn Dumas, Rita Dominic, Fade Ogunro, Banky W, Chris Attoh and John Dumelo, amongst others.
Guests will also be treated to a 3-course dinner and drinks, while live performances from star guests Flavour, Seyi Shay, Ebony Band and Godwin Strings will set the mood, alongside DJ Xclusive’s spin on the decks and Michelle Dede playing host.
