So it seems beauty in 2016 is doing its bit for diversity – what with CoverGirl tapping Zendaya as their new face and now Maybelline New York announcing Tanzanian model, Herieth Paul as their new brand ambassador.
The 20-year-old, Dar es Salaam-born beauty revealed the news via her Instagram page, posting;
“This has been the hardest-kept secret of my entire life AND the highlight of my career.
I am so honoured [and] excited to announce that I am joining the Maybelline family!!!! I’m so grateful to be named a global spokesmodel for the world’s #1 cosmetics brand.”
The beauty, who has walked for top labels like Stella McCartney, Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren and Burberry, is know for her signature short, natural curls – a look we at SPICE absolutely love and can’t wait to see in the official campaign images.
While we await the launch of said shot, Team SPICE send our congratulations to Herieth Paul on her new role and can’t wait to see what she does next – both at the just-launched New York Fashion Week, and as the face of Maybelline New York.
