I.D Magazine has been to Lagos, “to shoot the cool kids of Nigeria’s capital, straight up,” with fast-rising photographer, Lakin Ogunbanwo behind the lens.
On said list of ‘cool kids,’ is popular vlogger Yagazie Emezi, founder and CEO of Fashpa.com, Honey Ogundeyi, flight attendant/writer David Dagat, model Uju Nwobodoh and an aspiring photographer, Adebayo Babatunde, who are all shot by Mr Ogunbanwo in Las Gidi’s streets.
Each subject was interviewed by I.D, telling a little about their favourite haunts around Lagos, with Ms Ogundeyi saying;
“The city is always in conversation and it speaks in loud, animated Nollywood tones – there is never a dull moment in Lagos! The buzz, the vibe and hustle is like no other city in the world.”
Yagazie said, when asked where the best place to fall in love in Lagos is;
“…Nowhere, but that’s because I’m bitter.”
But the creative also revealed a little on her favourite spots to shop, explaining;
“Depends on what you want! And honestly, when it comes to finding anything in Lagos, I stay away from the big stores and go hunting in more local areas.”
