Nancy Nwadire, the creative talent behind women wear label, Iconic Invanity, has just announced the opening of her first boutique, with an exquisite event to celebrate its launch that also unveiled the brand’s upcoming Autumn/Winter’14 collection.
Opening in Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos, the boutique will stock the label’s beautiful garments, known for their high end fabrics, fine cuts and pretty, bedazzling finishes – and, hosting the launch event at The Grand Gardens (also in Ikoyi), the brand drew top fashion names as guests, including Temple Muse’s Avinash Wadhwani, Dimeji Alara and actress-come-hostess for the night, Omotola ‘Omosexy’ Jalade-Ekehinde, who were all served champagne, hors d’oeuvres and great music, alongside an exclusive preview of Iconic Invanity’s fall wears.
According to the designer, the collection, inspired by the 1950’s glamour in high society;
“…sets the stage for an elegant and timeless wardrobe for the Iconic Invanity woman.”
We at SPICE agree, and think the event that launched it set the stage for good things to come from the brand’s new boutique.
See images from the black tie event, as well as shots from inside the store, below;
Iconic Invanity’s new boutique is as chic as the brand’s aesthetic.
And on the night, guests were able to peek at the beautiful stock as well as preview the label’s upcoming Autumn/Winter’14 collection.
Stephanie Coker, looking fabulous on the red carpet for Iconic Invanity’s boutique launch night.
And artists Emma Nyra and Seyi Shay also turned out for the event…
…As did Iyanya, who came looking fresh in a cool bomber jacket.
The night was sponsored by champagne house, Moet & Chandon, who kept the bubbles flowing and guests having a good time.
Guests spent the night mingling in the plush venue…
…And were treated to beautiful music, food and champagne too.
Model and presenter Eku Edewor was looking great in a floor-length, asymmetrical number with stunning lace detail.
…While Anna Ebiere Banner showed off in on-trend, head-to-toe white.
And SPICE’s own stylist, Rekena Sharon Ojong looked amazing as usual in a classy LBD. #Hot.
Dimeji Alara and Mike Nwadire posing by Iconic Invanity’s petalled emblem, looking suave as always in chic ensembles.
…While Avinash Wadhwani and Mihelle Dede were seen chatting inside the event.
Guests rifled through the brand’s range inside the boutique, clearly impressed by the items and the evening as whole.
And Bolanle Olukanni was seen on the red carpet, rocking a bold look, complete with red shoe boots.
But Nollywood star Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde stunned on the carpet in an Iconic Invanity dress, which served her well to play hostess and introduce guests to an exclusive catwalk preview of the brand’s Autumn/Winter’14 collection.
We at SPICE love what’s next from Iconic Invantiy…
…from simple, sophisticated dresses for dinner…
To daring dresses with plunging necks and dynamic, mesh cutouts.
Lastly, woman of the event, Nancy Nwadire posed alongside Esosa Anenih and Yvonne Fasinro, looking superfied in a colourful, fitted and printed number and beaming smile, clearly pleased at the success of the night.
