Top stunner, Jourdan Dunn has been named ‘Model of the Year’ at the 2015 British Fashion Awards, where talents Karl Lagerfeld, JW Anderson, Tom Ford and more were also celebrated.
With awards voted for by over 800 members of the global fashion industry, mogul Mr Lagerfeld took away the ‘Outstanding Achievement’ award, J.W. Anderson stole the show with both the ‘Womenswear’ and ‘Menswear’ awards, and Jourdan Dunn was presented with her award for her work, which has been in overdrive of late.
Fronting campaigns for Burberry – alongside Naomi Campbell no less – and Maybelline, the 25-year-old stunner has had her fair share of achievement this year, but in her career to date, she’s been pretty unstoppable in general, having walked for many top names, been one of the faces of Beyonce’s “Yonce” music video and even winning the very same British Fashion Award back in 2008.
Also a star on social media, with 1.4 million followers and counting, Ms Dunn collected her award last night at the award’s venue in Covent Garden, London, from her fashion bestie, designer Olivier Rousteing, saying;
“You’re going to make me cry. What the hell? I won this in 2008 and I was a hot mess. My speech was a hot mess, it was all a mess.
So, short and sweet this time. Thank you to the British Fashion Council – I don’t know what to say. Thank you to my mum and my son Riley, who wanted me to stay in bed and watch TV with him, tonight. This is for him.”
The awards were attended by many top names including Vogue editor-in-cheif Anna Wintour, with Grace Bonner also taking home the award for ‘Emerging Menswear Designer’ and Mary Katranzou taking home the award for ‘New Establishment Designer’.WATCH: GRACE BONNER’S SENEGALESE WRESTLER VIDEO & PHOTOSHOOT
