Jourdan Dunn’s Photo-Diary of the Balmain x H&M Party

Supermodel beauty, Jourdan Dunn is one of the faces of Balmain’s collaborative line with H&M, having starred in the campaign (see it here), and for the epic style party which designer Olivier Rousteing threw in New York this week, the model documented her day with some behind-the-scenes pics of her day up to the event.

Snapping pictures for a photo diary shared with Vogue, the 25-year-old was seen waking up and selfie-ing from her NYC apartment, before heading to pre-event fittings, from which she left with her look for the evening, captioning;

“What’s in the box??”

The beauty then made time for some last minute prep, working out and doing a facial, before heading to the night’s venue in this ensemble for the red carpet;

Lastly, Jourdan headed backstage for hair and makeup before taking to the ramp for the night’s opening runway show, which showcased the soon-to-drop Balmin x H&M collection in front of hundreds of industry insiders and members of the press.

The event, held on New York’s Wall Street inside a former bank, was a chance for many to see the clothes up close and in movement, highlighting their fine craftsmanship and justifying the price range, which starts at £25 for a Balmain logo t-shirt and goes up to £399.99 for a fully beaded party dress.

Dubbed by the press as a stunt to increase social media hype of the upcoming collection (with designer, Mr Rousteing being very much into and engaged with all things ‘online’), the event took headlines everywhere and has been all everyone’s been talking about for the last couple of days.

But did the runway event leave you thirsty to join the queues that are predicted to start at dawn when the line drops on November 5th? Let us know if you’ll be trying to grab a piece from the Balmain x H&M collection, by tagging us in your thoughts online using @SPICETVAFRICA.
