Kidogo Kidogo, an organisation on a mission to provide the women of Tanzania with mobile phones, have recently launched a stylish collection of iPhone cases to help their cause.
Collaborating with Tanzania-based artist Sarah Markes, the social enterprise (whose name means “Little by Little” in Swahili) will be buying a phone, sim card and credit for one woman in need, with every two purchases of Markes’ hand painted phone cases.
The “Cases that Care” collection is aimed to supply the 64% of women in Tanzania who are without a mobile phone, which Kidogo Kidogo say serves as:
“A flashlight, a watch, a camera and a radio… a way to make secure banking transactions, monitor consumer markets, stay abreast of changing weather and receive health reminders and updates.”
To help the organisation on their mission, you can help yourself to one of these durable, stylish cases – which are marked with images of iconic Tanzanian wildlife – for a mere $30, here.
We at SPICE wish Kidogo Kidogo the best of luck with their cause and hope you’ll enjoy your new phone cover knowing it brought someone a much-needed new phone – that’s a flashlight, watch, camera, radio and a way to connect with the world.
