Latasha Ngwube, plus-size fashion advocate and fashion blogger behind #Aboutthatcurvylife, had plus size models on the runway at Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2016 in a bid to start a much-needed conversation about body diversity.
Speaking to CNN, Latasha Nwugbe said “We’re getting a foot in the door” as she goes about the cause of empowering curvaceous women.
“People have to see plus fashion in a way they never have before,” Ngwube added. On how she felt on her feat at the Lagos Fashion & Design week: “I was looking at people standing, screaming, clapping and I started to cry. I was shaking and crying in the crowd, I couldn’t contain it. I wish I could bottle that feeling and just sip on it every day of my life.”
